Trans World Radio UK Opening Ceremony
Trans
World Radio have recently celebrated the opening of their
new studios and UK headquarters in Manchester.
The opening,
officiated by Harvey Thomas CBE, Chairman of the Board of
TWR, brought together Beate Kiebel, Assistant International
Director for TWR Europe, Rev Roger Sutton from Altrincham
Baptist Church plus staff and guests of TWR-UK.
In his
opening remarks, Harvey Thomas paid tribute to the staff,
both those who had moved from Bath and new members, for their
commitment in bringing about the new headquarters. He went
on to say, " We are now trusting God to do a wonderful
work through this building and all the staff who have now
joined us. There is such an exciting potential for broadcasting
as we look forward to the digital age and look to the potential
of producing our own programmes and reaching out to our listeners
both to help them and to encourage them to reach others for
Christ."
Beate
Kiebel then went on to encourage the staff by saying, "I
pray that through the new office, its facilities and media
contacts within the Manchester area, TWR will grow in both
its ministry to the UK and overseas through its mission projects."
The proceedings
were then brought to a close by Rev Roger Sutton who led both
staff and guests in prayer for the new office and studios.
