TWR to Launch New Platform
TWR has announced it is to launch phase one of a new digital technology platform in early 2011 which will revolutionise the ways in which ministries can deliver their messages to a global audience. The tool, known as Media Asset Management (MAM), will allow access to a global electronic storehouse of Biblical content.
With over 50 years of broadcasting history, TWR has produced thousands of hours of life-enhancing programmes in more than 200 languages and dialects, aired to millions across the world via high-powered transmitters and local stations. Each year, ministries spend vast sums of money seeking to adapt and distribute their content in multiple languages, a process which is often fragmented as they strive to assemble all the elements needed to communicate with a global audience.
MAM aims to eliminate the fragmentation currently hindering mission’s efforts by creating a single integrated platform, greatly enhancing the capacity to store, retrieve and repurpose content to achieve greater effectiveness and efficiency. This will result in the ability to deliver biblical truth from anywhere to anyone.
MAM, coupled with TWR’s rich history of experience and expertise in the areas of translation and production and its vast network of global relationships, will empower the Church with a “turnkey solution” to accomplish its mandate to make disciples of all nations.
With the rapid development of technology and the increased availability of the Internet in developing countries, MAM will enable the Church to speak the truth to billions of people across the world. |
