Chinese Internet Ministry

As the world changes, we also need to change our approach and methods for ministering and reaching the lost. In recent years the Internet has taken centre stage when it comes to communication. This is especially true in the emerging superpower of China.

TWR have already started ministering to the people in China through the Internet, and have seen God use our efforts. Now is the time to go the next mile.

The Christian teaching programmes which are available through the Chinese TWR site are becoming increasingly popular.  In one year the total of downloads for just one of these programmes rose from an average of 33,000 per month to 140,000! 

Here is a message we received from one of the website users, which describes the vital need there is for the Internet Ministry to continue:

“I like all of the programmes on the websites, especially Awake with the Angel and English Easy…I make time to listen to them almost every night. I am in China now and my feeling is not as strong as when I was overseas. I feel that I am farther and farther away from God. It is good that I could still maintain my relationship with God a bit by listening to the programmes on your website every day. I like the “Let’s Learn English Together” segment in Awake with the Angel programme; I could learn English little by little every day.”

Unfortunately this popularity also brings with it some problems.  The website is becoming slow to access and listeners are finding it hard to download the programmes.

We are hoping to help TWR-Asia with some of the funds it desperately needs to develop the Internet service, so that they can continue to bring the much longed for Bible teaching to the people of China.  In a country where only 3-4% of the population are Christian, it is imperative we do what we can to spread the Gospel.
