TWR’s Europe region covers continental Europe, Central Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.
The Gospel need across this region is great and the cultures and languages are as varied as you might imagine. Here are some updates to help direct your prayers.
1. Albania
All Albanian FM stations are currently in the process of reapplying for broadcast licences, and other religious groups are undertaking a big push to significantly reduce the reach of Christian radio. Please pray for TWR Albania and the application process, that those involved will look favourably on them.
2. Norway
The Norwegian arm of TWR, Norea Norway, is in the early stages of a partnership to broadcast Women of Hope in Arabic from 2019. Please pray for the success of the programme.
3. France
Radio Colombe are planning to purchase a new office in Lyon. Please pray that their financial needs will be met and that the work done in the office will significantly further the Gospel in France even in the face of a rigidly secularised culture.
4. Serbia
Ikonos (TWR’s Serbian partner) are seeking to distribute 15,000 Bibles by the end of the year. Please pray that this will be successful, that the Bibles will end up in the hands of the right people, and that through this project many people will turn to Christ.
5. Central Asia
Please continue to pray for the plans for the Silk Road Transmitter. You can read more about that in Listening World. The new transmitter will mean new programmes will be produced. Please pray for all those who will be involved in programme production.
6. Middle East
The harvest is plenty but the workers are few. Please pray that the Lord will raise up people willing and able to serve in the Middle East, bringing the Gospel to one of the most spiritually dry regions in the world.
