As 2021 draws to a close, we wanted to take some time to reflect on the many ways that we have seen God’s steadfast faithfulness this year. While there is no way we could fit everything into one update, we wanted to draw attention to just a few of the ways we have seen God working in TWR and its ministries around the world!
- The Quebec FM station is on the air! We are thankful to God for his faithfulness through this project, which began six years ago as a vision for an FM radio network in Quebec. After years of fundraising, construction, and waiting for inspections and licencing, the station went live in October!
- 2021 saw the creation of more than 1,500 new radio home groups across South Asia! These groups allow participants to listen to an audio programme and discuss the message with a small group.
- 2021 also saw the creation of at least 45 new small groups in refugee camps. These small groups use Discipleship Essentials as their curriculum to guide them through learning about Jesus. Discipleship Essentials has also expanded to the radio and is broadcast in French in West Africa and Spanish in Latin America.
- In August, TWR’s Persian Ministry was able to host their first conference in nearly two years, with another conference in September! These conferences are an important part of the Persian Ministry because they provide believers with a safe space to worship and learn together.
- TWR continues to work closely with missionaries around the world. The Clarkes are one of these missionary families and they are based in Eswatini, a country currently struggling with civil unrest. Through it all, the Clarkes continue to praise God for his faithfulness.
These are just a few of the incredible things God is doing through TWR. We are thankful for His provision, especially through the upheaval that COVID-19 has brought. We continue to praise God for everything he is doing in and through our ministries, and we can’t wait to see what plans He has for us in 2022 and the years to come!
