BRINGING BIBLE STORIES TO LIFE FOR YOUNG LISTENERS

3 September 2021

Did you know that TWR is translating and producing Bible stories for children in Hindi, Gujarati, Mandarin, Arabic, Persian, Spanish, Somali and Swahili? TWR has an agreement with A Visit with Mrs. G Ministries to translate and produce at least 30 books from the Bible Stories Alive series. These books tell the stories of the lives of people from the Bible such as Adam and Eve, Noah, Abraham and Sarah, Isaac and Rebekah, Moses, and Jesus. The reader and listener are drawn into the story, and the stories come alive for children.

We recently received some encouraging testimonies from the Mandarin-speaking community, following the distribution of USBs containing Old Testament stories.

“This kind of storytelling is very helpful for me! Using simple words to explain the Bible to the children, and using lively voices is really engaging. Thank you, brothers and sisters for your labour and may God bless you all.”

“The stories are very detailed, easy to understand and very lively. They really attract the attention of the children.”

A parent shared that they gave the stories on the USB for their two children to listen to. Sometimes their son tells them what he heard from the stories during mealtimes, always presenting the material in a very lively and detailed manner. “I really thank those brothers and sisters who produce these for us so that my children and I can listen to them together and understand. May the Lord be with you all and may the glory be to our Lord Jesus Christ!”

Other listeners wrote in telling us how these Bible stories have become part of their lives…

“I listened to the stories with my grandson, and he loves them because they are very exciting, interesting and easy to understand. The presentation attracted his attention; it is very suitable for children. Thank you for producing them, may God bless you all.”

“I listened to the stories with my little grandchild. The stories are very lively and interesting and suitable for younger children (around six years old). They are very easy to understand and easy to remember. The children can easily imagine themselves as the characters of the stories. It’s a great way to get to know the characters in the Bible and to understand the truths of the Bible.”

Praise God for these responses! Please join us as we pray for our translation and production teams, as they continue to make more Bible stories available in a variety of languages.
