Through different technologies and platforms, TWR reaches hard, hidden and hostile regions of the world with the hope of the Gospel.
In Sri Lanka, many believers are hidden in pockets of isolation where there are no churches or resources to grow in the faith and it’s difficult for people to find relief from and solutions to hard circumstances in their daily lives. For over a decade, however, the radio programme God’s Unique Book has filled the hearts of Sri Lankans with spiritual nourishment, as each programme is created in response to current events and listener inquiries.
Families, long-time listeners and new, young listeners all tune in as God guides this primarily-Buddhist nation to hear the message of His Word in their heart language of Sinhala. Through radio, God speaks to their hearts and replenishes their minds. May you be encouraged by these stories of faith!
“I am a Christian. I have been listening to this programme for a long time. This programme is very good and one that I love to listen to. I am seventy-eight years old. The opportunity to go to church is small. So I listen to this programme with great interest. This has been beneficial for my spiritual life.”
“I am 18 years old and I follow a different faith. I’ve been listening for a month. What does genuine freedom entail? Your programme did a great job of explaining the concept and I found it to be beneficial. I’m grateful.”
“I am a Christian and I have been listening to this programme for a long time. Today I learned new things and learned essential things about life. Looking at the situation in our country, it is a challenge to live with loans. But you said that as Christians, we can live through the Word of God. This was a great blessing to me.”
“I am a blind university student. I keep listening to your programme because I love it. From the book of Corinthians, you described the sacrifice of Jesus and His love. It touched my heart and gave me strength and peace in my mind.”
“I am a Christian. I have been listening to this programme for a long time. Our only hope and satisfaction are in Christ. He is the God who does not abandon us in our loneliness. I became stronger through this programme.”
God’s Word renders itself as fulfilled through these personal testimonies, as Psalm 32:7 says: “You are a hiding place for me; You preserve me from trouble; You surround me with shouts of deliverance” (ESV).
