TWR have an app specifically aimed at the Kabyle people of North Africa.
The variety of programmes made available on this free app are helpful to reach the majority of isolated Kabyle Berber villages in the Middle Atlas mountains, the significant population of Berber youth and those Berber immigrating to Europe. All content on the app is tailor-made to minister to the Berber people using their oral storytelling culture. The app contains archives of the familiar TWR programmes such as Thru the Bible, among others in the Kabyle language.
Before I became a Christian I was a very radical follower of my religion, and was against any other belief system in the world except my own. I recited my holy book by heart and I learned all the narratives, those of the prophet and his followers. I did not harm anyone but I always kept my guard to protect myself from others who approached me.
One day, I travelled with a gentle Christian who greeted me every time we met each other on our journey. I took the opportunity to talk to him about my faith, hoping to bring him back to my religion, since I believed it was the religion of our ancestors. The first thing that came to my mind was to ask him what he thought of those who see my religion as evil, and of those who put it into practice to fulfil the righteousness of God.
His answer was very clear to me. He said to me: “Your question is good! No one can give you a convincing answer except the word of Jesus Christ in the Bible. If you want, I will give you a verse of the word of Christ to begin with.” So he gave me a verse that the Gospel of Luke recorded Jesus as saying, “For every tree knows its fruit. Figs are not plucked from thorns, and grapes are not harvested from brambles.” (Chapter 6, verse 44)
I am 40 years old, but this was the first time I received a word full of sparkling truth. As I lifted my eyes to heaven I felt being transported out of this world into ecstasy. A bright light was shining and I could see darkness fleeing from this light. I left my newly found friend, thanking him and letting him know that I had heard and understood everything. From that day on, Christ invaded my whole soul and He became my Lord, whom I now proclaim.
Thank you for what you do, may God bless you.
